Verstt does not collect any data. The app has no account system, no analytics,
no telemetry and no crash reporting. Nothing about you or your work is transmitted anywhere.
What stays on your device
Course files, and everything inside them — text, images, audio, video and imported fonts
Application preferences, such as your interface language and recently opened files
Automatic backups, written inside the app's own container on your Mac
File access
Verstt runs in the macOS App Sandbox. It can only read and write files you choose yourself
through a standard macOS open or save dialog. It does not scan your disk and has no access to
files you have not selected.
Network access
The application makes no network requests of its own. Two things are worth spelling out:
Web frames. If you add a web frame pointing at an external address, that
page is loaded so you can preview it. The request comes from the content you added, and the
operator of that page decides what it does with it.
Published courses. A course you export and upload to an LMS reports learner
progress to that LMS, exactly as the SCORM and cmi5 standards define. That data is collected by
the organisation running the LMS, under their privacy policy — not by Verstt, which is not
involved once the package has been exported.
Children
Verstt is an authoring tool for course creators and collects no data from anyone, including
children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new
date.
